Long BioBorn and stuck in Ohio, Stephanie writes fantasy fiction and occasionally moonlights as a rock star. Her short stories have been published in several small press publications, most recently in the March 2015 issue of Urban Fantasy Magazine. She also writes tie-in fiction for the Pathfinder RPG from Paizo, Inc. In 2013, she was a finalist for the Writers of the Future award, and in 2015, one of her stories was nominated for the Pushcart Prize.
With her editor hat on, Stephanie freelances for indie authors and small presses. She has edited several anthologies, most recently Drunk on Writing: The Best of Write1Sub1, and she is a longtime slush minion for Lightspeed and Nightmare magazines.
Stephanie's an active member of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America, the International Association of Media Tie-in Writers, the GenCon Writer's Symposium, and Codex. Her first passion is short fiction, and to pay it forward she reviews SF/F magazines, anthologies, novellas, and short story collections at Diabolical Plots.
When not writing, she can be found cuddling with three evil cats, playing with her sweet bulldog--whom her husband cleverly named Page One--or rolling dice with her local gaming group. You can also catch her on stage, singing and playing keys with her cover band. A self-proclaimed super nerd, Stephanie loves gaming, technology, good sushi, and bad kung fu flicks.
